The effective use of vocabulary and word walls is a necessary component of today’s math and science classroom. Our training will offer instruction on how to teach the language of science and math through:

Vocabulary engagement strategies to use with students
Practical ways to display, structure, and find success with a word wall in your room
Relevant, grade-level examples for incorporating vocabulary and word walls into daily lessons

All vocabulary presented aligns with state standards.

Catnip’s Word Walls has over 40 years of combined classroom experience. Through several years as math curriculum specialists, we have developed and lead trainings for elementary, middle, and secondary teachers. Our certifications include Self-contained, Generalist 4-8, Math 4-8, Secondary Math, Special Education, and Administration. We are all natives of the San Antonio area, are well-versed in the TEKS and have taught and trained through many different styles and methodologies of math instruction. We are teachers’ biggest fans and understand the classroom struggle of incorporating the language of math and science into our student’s daily experiences.
